9 out of 12 birds I did in Micron pen and watercolor for my wedding. Instead of having table numbers we named tables after birds that are special to us. At each table was a print of the bird and a short story of why that bird is important to us. We are bird-watchers… does it make sense now that I tell you that?
I’m baaaaaack! Hello again dear, long, lost love tumblr! I have returned to the world of cyberspace after a surprisingly long stint of extreme busyness and life changes!
I figured my first post back should be a recap of my past 6 months. Firstly– I got married! Woohoo. Maybe later I’ll post photos of the vast plethora of wedding stuff I handmade and designed (which took up my entire summer).
Secondly– I’ve been working at the no. 1 zoo in America! Sorry, couldn’t resist a quick brag on behalf of our awesome zoo.
And various and sundry things such as getting my furry fella settled into life in an apartment, rescuing a stray cat ( and falling in love with and keeping said kitty despite a cat-disliking-but-very-angelic husband ), and teaching a class about opossums at the Ohio Wildlife Rehabilitators Association annual conference.
Phew. Okay. So now to work at that thing called art.
Okay designers. I am an illustrator and a painter, but I can design as well. Possibly not quite as well as I paint. I’m not sure. Maybe better. You never know. Anywho, I’m getting married and I am designing all print material.
They are both going to be printed on 100% post consumer content recycled card stock, that is about the color of the background of the invite. I just put that texture in to get an idea of how it would look.
What do you think? Thoughts?
